VINAY JOHAR STORY
Internationally acclaimed entrepreneur, technologist and market strategist
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Technology, Vinay began his career as a business analyst in the computer software space. Intrigued by how Silicon Valley executives see opportunity in every problem, Vinay took big risks by starting his own ventures in web application development, and later, electronic data consulting in the banking, insurance, finance and telecommunications industries.

As his expertise grew while managing complex queries, extensive EDI, and big-data analysis, he became passionate about making large sets of unstructured data useful and reliable—affordably. His concepts were a perfect fit for the recruitment industry, long plagued by onerously manual processes used to track, evaluate and place applicants in jobs.
As a result, Vinay launched RChilli, the top resume parsing, matching, and enrichment solution in the human resources industry that analyzes 7 billion resumes a month and serves clients in 34 countries in over 40 languages. This highly successful venture led to the creation of his second business, Enrich.io,a private label talent economy platform for recruitment companies.

LEADING THROUGH ADVERSITY
Vinay’s early entrepreneurial pursuits struggled to gain traction. In fact, he credits some of his early failures for his many successes today since those experiences taught him the importance of being humble and nimble—core values within his companies.
Like many businesses, Covid-19 posed many challenges especially since the recruiting industry was hard-hit by decreasing employment worldwide. After revenue dipped 40% in two weeks, Vinay led a remarkable turnaround by embracing change, committing to retain all employees, changing processes, and overcoming the challenges of remote work.
Vinay understands the plight of job seekers facing cumbersome application processes, rejection, and unsuccessful placements. That’s why he is pursuing the ambitious goal of helping a billion people hire talent or find the dignity of work.
